We are delighted to recently get planning permission for this unique subterranean house in Milltimber, Aberdeen. Finished in charred timber cladding and a sedum roof covering the house, it will be built into the sloping site to take advantage of the existing topography, helping minimise any impact on the existing context.
The internal layout has been designed in a linear form with the living accommodation to the exposed south elevation, and the service accommodation and circulation underground at the rear of the house. 4 bedrooms are located on the lower floor, and a large and flexible open plan living area on the upper floor, with floor to ceiling glass providing lots of natural daylight and leading to the amazing roof terrace with views over the Dee Valley.
