WCP Architects were delighted to take part in last Friday’s Aberdeen Society of Architects exhibition ‘Postcard of a Place’. ASA invited local architects to submit a postcard sized drawing, sketch, painting, etc. which had to represent a place in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.
The WCP submission was an interpretation of Aberdeen’s coast line at night, from the Beach Ballroom, to the North Pier and Girdleness Lighthouse. The drawing illustrates the main landmarks of the coast and how the light from them, the boats in the bay, and the reflections in the water break up the darkness of the night. The sketch was drawn using an IPad Pro + Apple Pencil.
We look forward to taking part again next year!!!
